Kier Living chosen as development partner for Bristol City Council's Hengrove Park scheme

Bristol City Council has named its development partner for a £50m housing development.

The council has selected Kier Living to carry out work at a 12.7 ha site at Hengrove Park, off Whitchurch Lane.

The residential scheme is part of the first phase of the Hengrove Park regeneration.

Kier Construction built the Hengrove Leisure Centre in 2012 as part of phase one, which also included construction of the City of Bristol Academy and the South Bristol Community Hospital, completed in 2011.

Kier Living will build 259 homes at Hengrove Park, of which 30 per cent will be affordable.

Kier Living central operations managing director Chris King said: “Kier has a proud history in delivering regeneration projects in Hengrove Park, having previously worked with Bristol City Council on the successful Hengrove Leisure Centre scheme, and we are delighted to continue this relationship as the developer partner for this priority strategic development opportunity.”

The scheme is subject to public consultation, with designs being developed ahead of an April submission for planning consent.
