Cambridge £100m framework up for grabs

Cambridge City Council is looking to establish a residential construction framework worth up to £100 million.

The framework will include construction work for houses, non-residential real estate and architectural design services.

The contract notice is divided into three lots including the appointment of one developer/ builder to design and build affordable housing for the council.

The framework will run for four years and is worth a minimum of £30m for 200 dwellings, a figure which could rise to £100m, or 1,000 dwellings, should the framework be extended beyond Cambridge City Council to other public bodies.

The framework is expected to start on 1 September and end on 31 August 2015. A minimum of 10 interested parties and a maximum of 15 will be invited to tender stage.

Applications must be completed by 6 May at 5pm.
