CJ Haughey wins concrete package on £240m Aston Uni regeneration

CJ Haughey Construction has secured a reinforced concrete superstructure package as part of an ongoing package of work at the £214 million Aston University Campus regeneration.

Secured by the company’s RC Structures Division, the project follows CJ Haughey’s successful completion of the groundworks of Phase 1 of the scheme for main contractor Carillion.

The project will see the company deliver a reinforced concrete structure that will form a 240 space, car park for the University. The top of the structure will be used as an all-weather sports pitch.

As part of the project, the company will be undertaking all design and detailing of the reinforcement plus associated groundworks as part of a combined package of works.

Work is due to commence on site in September 2009.
