Contractor sought for Liverpool BSF deal

Liverpool City Council is stepping up the hunt for a contractor to take on the second phase of its massive Building Schools for the Future project.

The Merseyside authority will rebuild or refurbish up to 25 schools from late 2011 in wave six of the Government’s £55 billion BSF programme.

It issued a Prior Information Notice in the Official Journal of the European Union this morning and will hold a ‘market communication event’ on 3 July.

The PIN notice says: “We are interested in receiving responses from established consortia that possess substantial financial and technical capacity, and the ability to execute BSF programmes.”
