Perenco selects Costain for £30m Humberside contract

Costain has won a £30m contract from oil and gas company Perenco to deliver EPC services for the environmental upgrade of the Dimlington gas terminal on Humberside.

The contractor will upgrade Perenco’s refrigeration system at Dimlington to ensure it complies with new environmental legislation coming into force on 1 January 2015.

The deal follows on from Perenco’s appointment of Costain for a Front End Engineering Design contract in 2012.

Costain chief executive Andrew Wyllie said: “We continue to expand our capabilities in complex design and procurement in the oil and gas sector.

“Building on the innovative FEED solutions already provided, we now look forward to delivering the implementation phase of this investment in energy provision for the UK.”
