Defence Estates advertises £25m Portsmouth job

Defence Estates is seeking bidders for a £25 million project to build an ammunitioning facility at Portsmouth Naval Base.

The project will see the construction of a piled concrete platform and two mooring dolphins on Crown Estate seabed.

Work is due to start on 16 August 2010 and is expected to take until 10 August 2012.

A shore site compound with wharfage will be provided for the contractor’s use during the construction period.

Up to five teams will be shortlisted for the work and interested parties have until 7 May to express interest.
