East London housing framework worth £100m up for grabs

Barking and Dagenham Borough council is seeking contractors for a four year £100 million framework to deliver housing construction works in East London.

The framework will incorporate both new build and refurbishment projects but the council will also be looking to contractors to help plug a funding gap by investigating alternative financing models for schemes.

Up to four contractors will be appointed to the framework, which could also cover work in London Boroughs of Redbridge, Havering, Newham and Tower Hamlets.

Firms have until 5 September to submit pre-qualification questionnaires and at least 10 firms will be invited to tender on 30 November.
