East Renfrewshire Council invites bids for £11.5m school contract

East Renfrewshire Council has put a one year £11.5 million new school job out to tender.

The contract is for the construction of a special needs school 4,580 sq m as well as external services and drainage.

The building will be predominantly single storey with a timber frame construction on piled and raft foundations.

Work is due to start on site at the end of February 2010.

Up to more than six contractors will be issued with tender documents in September. Firms have until 23 July to register their interest.
