FM Conway lands £21m London roads deal

FM Conway has been awarded a deal worth up to £21m to provide road maintenance services for the London Borough of Lewisham.

The deal is worth around £3m annually and will run for five years with a potential two-year extension.

FM Conway starts the contract on 1 April. It will carry out highway maintenance and planned road works throughout the borough including emergency works, gully cleansing, winter services and footway works.

Deputy Mayor of Lewisham and cabinet member for regeneration, Cllr Alan Smith, said: “Despite our current budgetary pressures, Lewisham Council is committed to investing in its highways network.

“This new contract with FM Conway accounts for a significant percentage of that investment, and will help the council to keep Lewisham moving until close to the end of the decade.”
