Four firms selected for £149m Renfrewshire home upgrades

Four firms have been chosen by Renfrewshire Council to carry out its five year £149 million housing investment programme.

Apollo, Wates Living Space, Connaught and Carillion Planned Maintenance will work as the council’s partners as it looks to upgrade 13,000 homes in the county to the Scottish Housing Quality Standard.

The Council’s Building Services division will also carry out some of the work.

All five firms will carry out kitchen and bathroom replacements while just Wates and the council will carry out the rewiring and heating work.

Work on pilot schemes is expected to start in May.
