Galliford Try wins £46m Birmingham Conservatoire job

Galliford Try has been chosen to build a £46m Conservatoire for Birmingham City University.

The new building, which has been designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, will move the city’s existing Conservatoire from its home to the Eastside area of the city centre.

It will include teaching facilities and a 500-seat auditorium as well as two additional performance spaces.

Galliford Try chief executive Greg Fitzgerald: “We are delighted to be involved in such a high-profile and significant project for both Birmingham and the surrounding area.

“We look forward to working with Birmingham City University and the design team to produce a world-class musical facility for both the students and the wider community.”
