Hackney Council tenders £348m housing framework

The London Borough of Hackney is inviting bids for a four year £348 million framework agreement covering work across the council’s housing portfolio.

Work to be carried out includes planned maintenance – worth £80 million – and the completion of the council’s Decent Homes Phase III programme, worth £180 million.

From 2012 the contractor will also be expected to carry out major works programmes with a value of £88 million.

The council intends to divide this work equally between four firms on the framework.

Between eight and 10 contractors will be invited to tender on 10 September.

The deadline for pre-qualification questionnaires is 4 August.
