Highways Agency advertises £35m M25 slip road job

The Highways Agency is inviting contractors to bid for a £35 million contract to build new access arrangements for the Cobham motorway service area on the M25.

The 20 month job will see the construction of slip roads on both sides of the motorway together linking through a new underbridge structure installed beneath the M25, to serve both the clockwise and anti-clockwise traffic movements.

During the construction of the works all eight traffic lanes of the M25 shall be operational between 5:30 am and 10:30 pm.

Pre-qualification questionnaires are due in by 18 January and five firms will be invited to tender on 10 March 2010.
