Highways Agency to set up £250m Midlands road surfacing framework

The Highways Agency is to set up a £250 million framework for road surfacing work in the Midlands.

The four operator framework covers structural work, surfacing and roadworks in the agency’s MAC Areas 7 and 9.

Contractors appointed under the one-year contract, which has an optional one year extension, should not be already appointed on the Agency’s MAC contract in Area 7 or 9.

Other public bodies including local authorities in the areas will also have access to the contractors on the framework.

The deadline for pre-qualification questionnaires is 10 October and invitations will be issued the following week.
