Hydrock wins regeneration deals

Hydrock has won a contract to provide engineering services for two regeneration projects in Kent.

The firm will work for the South East England Development Agency in preparing the development platforms at the 19 ha Northfleet Embankment site near Gravesham in Kent.

It will also work for the same client on the 12 ha Queenborough and Rushenden site on the Isle of Sheppey.

Both sites will be transformed from former industrial use into a mix of residential and commercial facilities.

Hydrock will provide geotechnical/geo-environmental ground investigation services, planning services, infrastructure review, and the land raising and remediation strategy.

The two sites are looking to benefit from tunnelling materials from the Crossrail project to create the development platforms.
