ISG bags £3m Essex housing redevelopment

ISG Jackson has won a £3.2 million project with registered social landlord Family Mosaic to redevelop a former sheltered housing site in Colchester, Essex.

The contractor will demolish the existing 1970s accommodation on the London Road site and build six two-storey blocks containing 36 units.

All the homes in the development will achieve a Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 performance rating, incorporating roofs with photo voltaic cells to generate electricity.

The project is scheduled for completion in spring 2012.
