ISG wins £6.2m Sheffield Uni disease centre job

Interior Services Group has secured a £6.2 million project with the University of Sheffield to build a state-of-the-art Motor Neurone Disease research centre.

The 2,800 sq m Sheffield Institute for Translational Neuroscience building is a two-storey, steel frame structure occupies a steeply sloping site opposite the city’s Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

The first phase of work sees ISG build a number of reinforced concrete retaining walls and an access ramp, as well as demolishing a number of temporary structures on site.

Work is due to commence early August with completion scheduled for summer 2010.
