JV agreed for £50m Haringey mixed-use scheme

London-based contractor Polyteck has agreed a JV with a developer to build a £50m mixed-use project next to a major regeneration in north London.

The two-phase job in Tottenham Hale will see Polyteck work with Empyrean Developments to initially build 87 homes and 12 live/work units.

Around 25,000 sq ft of commercial workspace will also be developed.

Located at Bernard Works and Norman Road, the project is due to start this October and complete in October 2020.

The scheme is next to Argent’s redevelopment of the Tottenham Hale area in north London.

The developer struck a deal with Haringey Council last year for a five-year project that will deliver 900 homes in the borough

The council’s plans for further regeneration in the borough around Wood Green have run into controversy.

The £1bn regeneration plan, due to be carried out by Lendlease, remains in doubt after council leader Claire Kober stepped down in January.
