Kier to build new Sainsbury's in Scotland

Kier has been appointed to build a new Sainsbury’s in Braehead, near Glasgow, the largest in Scotland.

Kier Scotland will deliver the project in 19 weeks with the new store due to open in November 2009, in advance of peak Christmas trading.

Kier has worked closely with both Sainsbury’s and the Braehead Shopping Centre management team in order to programme and phase the project in a way that ensures minimum disruption to the customers of the adjoining shopping centre.

The contractor also recently completed Sainsbury’s new Gloucester Quays store.
