The Equitix consortium, which includes Galliford Try and Kier, has reached financial close on the £110 million Cambridgeshire Building Schools for the Future project.

Over the course of the programme Kier will build the £33.4m Thomas Clarkson Community College and then the £11m Meadowgate School, both in Wisbech.

Meanwhile Galliford Try will build the £26m Neale Wade Community College in March followed by the £19m Cromwell Community College in Chatteris.

The contractors are expected to start on site in July 2010.
