Lagan Building Contractors wins £35m Outwood Wharf deal

Lagan Building Contractors has won the £35m contract to build phase one of Outwood Wharf in Salford.

The wharf scheme for client Outwood Developments will consist of 263 apartments and homes, and forms part of a wider £125m investment that will deliver 600 homes over the next four years.

The development, which was given outline planning permission in January 2016, will see apartments set within a cluster of blocks ranging from six to 18 storeys in height.

Outwood Wharf will top out at 53 m at its highest point and also feature townhouses and underground parking.

Lagan Building Contractors managing director Jon Adams said: “Phase one of Outwood Wharf is an anchor project for Lagan Building Contractors to demonstrate its intent in the North-west to strategically and organically grow its business from its newly established regional office in Manchester.”
