Lendlease seals contract for £275m LGIM Real Assets and Mitsubishi Estate London office scheme

Lendlease has signed a £103m contract to deliver an office scheme in Hammersmith, west London.

The contractor will build the 250,000 sq ft project for LGIM Real Assets and Mitsubishi Estate London. The 12-storey development has a gross value of £275m.

Works will also include providing a plaza, new urban park, four retail and leisure units and a work lobby cafe.

The scheme was given the go-ahead by Hammersmith & Fulham Council and demolition of the existing Bechtel House is under way.

The project is expected to complete in the first quarter of 2019.

Lendlease scooped a £200m contract with Nine Elms Property last month to build a luxury development in south-west London.

Akyon London One will include 450 prime homes, the interiors of which were designed in partnership with Versace Home.

The development will also include office and retail space as well as units of affordable housing.
