Lovell wins £22m five-year repairs and maintenance Estuary Housing Association contract

Lovell has won a £22m repairs and maintenance contract for 3,900 homes in Essex, Greater London and Suffolk.

Estuary Housing Association appointed the Morgan Sindall subsidiary to the contract, which starts on 1 July 2014 and will span a five-year period.

Under the contract, Lovell will provide responsive, planned maintenance services and carry out refurbishment works on empty properties.

Estuary Housing Association has homes in 14 local authorities, including the Greater London boroughs of Havering, Redbridge, Barking and Dagenham.

Lovell said it expected to create eight apprenticeships over the contract term.

Lovell Repairs and Maintenance national business development director Nick Hann said: “We strongly believe in creating a wide range of benefits for local communities.

“We will provide job and training opportunities, as well as initiatives such as advice and workshop sessions for residents, through the work we are doing for Estuary.”
