Mace wins £18m Gatwick job

Mace has won a £17.7 million deal to upgrade hold baggage screening systems at Gatwick Airport.

The firm will work on the HBS systems at the airport’s South Terminal, marking the next phase of the £1 billion improvement programme.

Mace director of aviation Nigel Cole said: “Mace is delighted to have secured the commission for the South Terminal Hold Baggage Screening system with Gatwick Airport.

“Having worked in the baggage halls of Heathrow for more than 15 years we are able to bring our significant experience and expertise to Gatwick at this time of major redevelopment at the airport.”
