Mansell wins £59m student housing deals

Mansell has won two student accommodation deals worth a total of £59 million.

The firm secured a £35 million contract to build a second student accommodation development in Great Suffolk Street, Central London for private sector provider Unite.

The scheme will provide 671 beds arranged over 10 storeys as well as commercial units under the main building. Work is anticipated to complete in September 2012.

Mansell has also won a £24m contract to construct four-storey student accommodation blocks for the University of Kent in Canterbury.

The on-campus development, provided through a long-term partnership between the University Partnerships Programme and the University of Kent, will comprise 495 new build student rooms adjacent to the existing Keynes College. Work will be completed in September 2011.
