Mitie bags £177m housing repairs contract

Mitie has won a £177m contract to deliver housing repairs and maintenance for Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

The 10-year deal will include reactive repairs and planned maintenance work across 17,000 properties throughout the London borough.

The council said it expects Mitie to save the area £20m on its repair bills over the course of the contract.

The new deal includes a 24/7 contact centre for residents to select time for repairs to take place.

This will be the second strategic partnership Mitie has had with the council. The previous contract saw Mitie secure a three-year £30m cyclical painting contract earlier this year.

Councillor and cabinet member for housing Andrew Johnson said: “The council carries out around 50,000 repairs a year and when we ask residents what matters most to them, repairs comes out on top time and again.”
