Morgan Ashurst wins £3.2m Cardiff hospital extension job

Morgan Ashurst has won a £3.2 million contract to build an extension at Velindre Hospital in Cardiff, which will include bunkers to house new radiotherapy machines.

Working for Velindre NHS Trust, Morgan Ashurst will construct the bunkers, which will contain radiotherapy machinery, at the hospital’s specialist cancer care centre.

The new extension will also feature all supporting examination, consulting and office spaces.

Completion is scheduled for May 2010.
