Morgan Sindall wins £14.8m Wakefield job

Morgan Sindall has been awarded a £14.8 million contract to create new civic offices in Wakefield for Wakefield Metropolitan District Council.

The new five-storey 123,000 ft² building is situated in the heart of Wakefield city centre.

Work on the concrete frame of the building will start in October, following the completion of the piling and groundwork elements of the project.

The firm is carrying out the project for English Cities Fund – a joint venture partnership which comprises urban regeneration and property development company Muse Developments, Legal & General and the Homes and Communities Agency.

Construction is due to be completed in December 2011.
