National and local firms win places on £3bn South West framework

A mixture of major firms and local contractors have scooped the 11 places up for grabs on the £3 billion Construction Framework South West.

Bam Construction, Interserve Project Services, ISG Pearce, Kier, Morgan Ashurst, Rok, Wates and Balfour Beatty subsidiary Mansell were all winners.

South West-based firms E W Beard and Midas Construction also won a place as well as local partnership Builders Consortium South West – made up of E R Hemmings of Bristol, Pearce Construction of Barnstaple, Swindon’s J Leighfield & Sons and Taunton-based C S Williams.

The framework will cover construction work for local authorities, health trusts, universities and emergency services across Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Devon and Cornwall.

Devon County Council, who procured the contract on behalf of the region, received 21 tenders.
