NG Bailey lands £25m defence deal

NG Bailey will carry out all M&E works at the Ministry of Defence’s Beacon Barracks redevelopment in a £25m deal.

The contractor will work alongside main contractor Lend Lease on the scheme which will grow the barracks to accommodate 2,000 personnel through new buildings including offices, workshops, living quarters and ancillary facilities.

Led by its engineering division, NG Bailey will use its Offsite Manufacture division to assist in the design and installation of prefabricated plant rooms, skid mounts and pipework and containment modules.

David Hurcomb, chief executive of NG Bailey, said: “We have a proven track record in delivering large-scale projects and that, coupled with our size and stability in the marketplace, stood us in good stead for the win. We look forward to starting on site and to delivering the project with Lend Lease.”
