Northern Ireland Water tenders £17m treatment works upgrades

Northern Ireland Water is inviting bids for a £17 million contract to upgrade waste water treatment works in Dunmurry and Newtownbreda.

Both plants’ requirements include modifications to inlet works, an additional anoxic tank and final settlement tank. Dunmurry needs extra storm storage and Newtownbreda needs additional drum thickener.

Work on the two year contract is scheduled to start on 2 December 2009. The deadline for bids is 5 August.
