Scape launches £350m consultancy framework

Scape Group has launched a £350m wide-ranging consultancy framework for its 568 public sector clients across the UK.

According to Scape, the four-year Built Environment Consultancy Services framework “will offer the broadest range of consultancy services available in the market”.

These will include project management, surveying, architectural and design services, electrical and mechanical engineering, and strategic asset management.

The procurement group opted to launch a framework for a broad range of services to offer budget-constrained public sector bodies a single point of contact.

Scape issued a prior information notice (PIN) on OJEU today, with marketing events scheduled to follow in Leeds next month and London in October.

Scape chief executive Mark Robinson said: “The frameworks we offer to our 568 public sector clients must evolve in response to the economic environment.

“In this climate, public sector organisations are working hard to manage, maintain and upgrade their assets and infrastructure.

“At the same time they are faced with the challenge of securing and retaining the expertise required to deliver their programmes.

“Through the new BECS framework, it is our hope to support the public sector by plugging the gaps where crucial expertise is lacking and by doing this with one framework partner we hope to simplify access to our services, allowing our clients to operate as efficiently as possible.

“The BECS framework provides the best of both worlds; that is the security of a highly adept national provider, united with a local supply chain network to facilitate access to local companies, thus maximising local spend.

“This will be the broadest consultancy framework available in the UK and as an all-encompassing built environment solution will provide a first class service.”
