Scottish housing associations advertise £75m works

Cordale and Cunninghame housing associations are seeking contractors to design, build and finance the construction and refurbishment of housing units in West Dunbartonshire, North Ayrshire, East Ayrshire and other areas in west central Scotland.

The £75m contract will cover 700 properties and up to three firms will be invited to tender.

As development partners, the winning bidder will be expected to devise innovative funding packages which will include paying for site acquisitions not already owned by the associations.

The works are expected to start on 1 May 2011 and will last five years.

Requests to participate should be submitted by 28 February /2011.
