Shepherd Construction wins £66m Bourneville College job

Shepherd Construction has won the contract to build the new £66 million Bournville College in Longbridge, West Midlands, for developer St. Modwen.

The new 250,000 sq ft Bournville College will be situated off the A38 Bristol Road South, at the heart of the new 15-acre Longbridge town centre.

The project is the first phase of a £100 million town centre proposed for Longbridge North and a major milestone in the £1 billion regeneration of Longbridge.

Shepherd will start an 88-week build programme on site before the end of the year and a timetable has been devised to ensure the college receives its first intake of students in September 2011.
