Skanska lands £45m London power deal

Skanska UK has been awarded the groundworks contract for all new UK Power Networks projects in London.

The framework is valued at £9m a year and is due to start on 28 October. It will last for an initial three years with an option for a two-year extension.

Works will include the planning and installation of all new electrical connection projects on behalf of UKPN in and around the capital.

Skanska won a similar project under the Southern area groundworks and electrical services deal for UKPN earlier this year.

That contract was worth £30m annually for a period of three years, with an option for two further years. Skanska is already carrying out works across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
