South Gloucestershire Council has opened a £22m highway construction and maintenance contract.
The winning contractor will support the council’s workforce in maintaining and building new roads.
A minimum of five and a maximum of seven contractors will be invited to tender for the project.
The contract will start in April 2017 and will conclude in March 2022, with the possibility of a further 24-36-month extension subject to performance.
Lincolnshire Council announced the winners of its £60m roads framework last week.
The framework is divided into five lots, with five contractors appointed onto each lot.
A total of 14 contractors secured places on the framework.
