Stewart Milne wins £2.4m Perthshire affordable housing job

Stewart Milne Construction has won a £2.4 million contract to build 24 affordable homes in Aberuthven, Perthshire, for Hillcrest Housing Association.

Construction will be based on an innovative closed panel timber kit using modern methods of construction to deliver the project quickly and efficiently.

Hillcrest Housing Association projects manager Graeme Keillor said:  “There is a real demand for quality affordable rented housing in the Perthshire area. Stewart Milne Construction brings proven experience of delivering developments of this scale to meet our timeframe and also our need for a high quality end product.”

Hillcrest’s development will consist of a mix of semi-detached and terraced three and four apartment properties.

The contract commenced in March 2009 and is due for completion by the beginning of February 2010.
