Willmott Dixon wins £25.9m Edinburgh City Council regeneration project in Pennywell and Muirhouse area

Willmott Dixon has landed a £25.9m regeneration job with Edinburgh City Council to build 160 homes.

Around £23.9m of the project’s budget will be contracted through Scape’s National Works framework, with the rest of the scheme to be contracted directly through the council.

Under the deal, Willmott Dixon will subcontract all the work to Robertson, which delivers all Willmott Dixon’s Scotland-based framework projects.

The 160 homes will be classed as affordable and will be located in Penny and Muirhouse.

Retail space and offices for local services will be created and a new civic square will be built.

The project is part of a wider £150m regeneration of the Pennywell and Muirhouse area, which Willmott Dixon is delivering for the council in partnership with Robertson.

Robertson is building 700 homes as part of the regeneration. A high school and NHS centre have already been delivered.
