VIDEO: Check out our motion story and this brief run-through of just a selection of CN’s digital content this week (12 Sep – 16 Sep).

News: Hinkley Point C received approval from the UK government, following a revised deal with French developer EDF. Elsewhere, a number of big-name JVs have teamed up to bid for Network Rail’s TransPennine Route Upgrade package. Sir Howard Bernstein will step down as chief of Manchester City Council in 2017, having held position since 1998.

Our project report this week took Charlie Schouten to Manchester, and to Bam Construction’s No 1 Spinningfields project, which is set to become the city’s tallest office block. Reporter Lucy Alderson kicked off CN’s new video series with a look at Birmingham’s influence and the emergence of a Midlands Engine.

We interviewed the eye-catching Rise Management Consulting, and dissect the impact they’ve made on the industry in the last five years, as well as their future within construction.
