In the news: Balfour Beatty returned to the black in its latest full-year results, and CEO Leo Quinn revealed to CN that he plans to stay well into the next decade as his turnaround programme continues; Two joint ventures have been picked by Network Rail for packages of work worth £2.5bn along the TransPennine route close to Leeds; finally, three will battle it out for the £1bn contract to design, build, finance the Silvertown Tunnel in east London.
