WATCH: Keltbray trials cycle-safety device on trucks

Keltbray has begun a six-week trial of a new safety device that could save the lives of cyclists on London’s roads.

The DawesGuard system, which acts as a retractable shield across the danger zone between the axles of large vehicles, has been fitted to one of Keltbray’s fleet of tipper trucks.

If successful, the revolutionary shield could be fitted to all of the firm’s 40-strong fleet.
