Speedy's £1m London depot relocation

Plant hire group Speedy has relocated its London power depot from Charlton to Erith in Kent, creating 15 new jobs.

The £1 million relocation forms part of a £7 million fleet investment programme, which the firm hopes will improve response times across the country.

The new depot near the M25 and the Thames Crossing, will also house the firm’s 24 hour a day call out team for the South East.

Len Clough, Erith General Manager, said: “Our customers play a crucial role on many large and time sensitive projects across the region making the provision of the latest power equipment and round-the-clock support services essential.

“The relocation to the improved site has enabled the expansion of the on-site fleet holdings, service engineers and fuel management services, enhancing our response times and capabilities to our customers in the region.”
