Croydon tramway set for off as tendering begins

Transport for London has begun the tendering process for a new £27m tram way in south London.

The client has sent out an early engagement notice ahead of procurement for the contract of the Dingwall Road Loop in Croydon.

The notice will allow firms wishing to bid for the project the chance to communicate with TfL about the best procurement process for the work.

The contract will entail construction of an anticlockwise tramway in Croydon town centre.

It will also deliver a new tram stop on the loop and the refurbishment of existing tram stops.

Completion is expected before the opening of Croydon’s Westfield shopping centre in 2020.

Interested parties are invited to submit their request to participate in the market engagement exercise by contacting supplychainintelligence@tfl.gov.uk quoting ‘Dingwall Road’ no later than 17:00 on 17 September.
